Kids these days. Are unbelievable. Not in a good way.

I know many adults will agree with me. Haha. I'm bitter.

Anyway, here is why I think kids these days are so misguided.

So, like, a few days ago, I translated something and posted it on my other blog (No need to check it out since it's not as interesting as this one, for this blog is about ME. I know, I'm being sarcastic.) I advertised that blog post in a fan community. Y'know, just so the other fans who wasn't good at English could also know what was going on with their idols.

And what happened? Someone summarized my translation and post again in that community. I have no problem seeing people summarize my post, since there are people who ain't good at reading. The problem I had was, he used my exact phrases in his summary, and didn't credit the source. I asked him to credit the source, me, if he was doing that.

Because, hey, use your own brain cells if you are going to do a summary of your own. Otherwise, just read the damn post already and move on!

He said he didn't see the need to credit the source... Right... that's plagiarism to you, m'boy.

I didn't want to argue with him. But I wrote a statement on my blog that no copyright infringement is tolerated. Hoping no more morons will try to piss me off again. Oh... Because I will take actions to protect my rights in the future.

Okay, having said this much. That guy didn't prompt me to write this post, actually, because he was just one. The thing is, a couple more people said something like, "Oh, but in these days, people just repost articles" or "I think it's okay to do that because I see it all the time."

My goodness! People actually think plagiarism is normal.

No wonder the news always says Taiwan's students are not compatible anymore. A cynical comic blog I saw basically hinted plagiarism was the in among Taiwan's higher educations. Like a fashion trend.
